Solving for a Knowledge Gap with ProMPT

With the explosive increase in targeted therapies in the last decade, most patients can expect to receive one or more NGS tests to confirm eligibility for treatment options for targeted therapy. These tests are historically buried in the EMR, and it may take several clicks to access them. Additionally, there is an increasing cognitive burden associated with keeping track of newly approved therapies and the constantly shifting eligible patient population. ProMPT was created to solve this knowledge gap.

ProMPT (Provider Messaging for Precision Therapies) is a chrome extension that provides clinical decision support at point of care, in the EMR. It has several sections that provide a one-click access to somatic and germline testing results, FDA-approved targeted therapies based on NGS findings, guideline-based suggestions for additional testing to support guideline concordant care, and an easy button to request support from the Precision Medicine and Clinical team.

NGS Reports and Results section provides a snapshot of NGS findings, with one click.

Precision Therapy Options section recommends latest targeted therapies, essentially “future proofing” the genomic findings for patients.

Care Enhancements section identifies opportunities to enhance care by performing additional tests, such as germline or immunohistochemistry.

Clinical Concierge Services is an easy button to submit patient cases for weekly molecular tumor board conference or for requesting an expert review of a patient’s molecular findings.

ProMPT also makes available clinical trial suggestions based on the genomic profile of the patient and allow providers to request prescreen or add their patient to an internal watchlist.

ProMPT has had a successful initial roll-out to practices, and the Clinical Affairs team looks forward to expanding this useful clinical decision support tool to other OneOncology practice partners in 2025.
