OneOncology and Beacon Clinic Join Forces to Enhance Cancer Care in Idaho

Nashville, TN and Coeur d’Alene, ID – April 2, 2025 — OneOncology, a physician-led national platform empowering independent oncology practices, and Beacon Clinic, a physician-owned multispecialty practice with 11 providers treating patients at two clinics, have finalized a partnership that will enhance the delivery of cancer care services across north Idaho.

Beacon Clinic has four medical oncologists, a radiation oncologist, a rheumatologist, and five advanced practice providers who treat patients at two clinics in Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls, Idaho. The practice, which was founded in 2018 by David Bartels, DO and Krista Bartels, JD, offers patients services across the continuum of cancer care including immunotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, radiation therapy, clinical trials, in-house oral medication dispensing, and onsite phlebotomy services. In addition, Beacon has strong relationships within the Idaho medical community and an extensive network of cancer care specialists and providers across the country. These deep ties within the Idaho community and nationally foster care continuity for their patients.

“The physicians at Beacon Clinic are among the most trusted cancer caregivers in Idaho, and we are thrilled to welcome them to the OneOncology platform,” said Jeff Patton, MD, CEO, OneOncology.  “We look forward to working with our new partners to help their practice grow, add services along the continuum of care to their clinics, and continue bringing world-class cancer care to north Idaho.”

By joining the OneOncology platform, Beacon Clinic will maintain its independence and have access to a comprehensive platform of clinical, operational, and technological resources that support comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care. The partnership will empower Beacon Clinic’s team of providers with real-time clinical insights, proven technological tools, collaborative research opportunities, and operational solutions to challenges that community practices face, ultimately enhancing their patients’ care in north Idaho.

“Providing the highest quality of patient care to our community has been an absolute dream come true for the entire Beacon Clinic team,” said Dr. David Bartels. “By partnering with OneOncology, we plan to grow and expand the cancer care and multidisciplinary services we provide, so our patients can continue to receive cutting-edge, world-class care without having to travel long distances, be away from their support system, and receive care outside of their community.”

Beacon is the 26th practice nationally to join OneOncology since it was founded in 2018.
